I was reflecting on on this Christmas that just passed and realized that I have been truly blessed this past year.

My family has always celebrated Christmas with somewhat conservative gifts. Usually our gifts to our children and each other have been pretty modest. Well, this year our belts were a little more tight but I believe each gift was more special. More thought out.
 I received the gift of music; a classical guitar book,
 I received the gift of warmth; a beautiful warm sweater,
 I received the gift of beauty; a shiny silver necklace,
 I received the gift of cooking; an ulu (Eskimo knife),
I received the gift of sweetness; homemade jelly, a mug for hot chocolate and a box of chocolates.

That's it, that's plenty! I really love every gift I received because they were given from the heart. These people know me and they gave me exactly what I wanted.

The best gift that I received from my family was time.
Time to make music,
 time to laugh together,
 time to share old memories and make new ones.
 Time to play with the next generation and
 time to be grateful for the amazing family that God has blessed me with.
